Laurie Park Serves as the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Department Controller and assists the Chief Financial Officer in developing both general management and financial management policies; monitoring their implementation; and ensuring completion of the Department’s 5-year financial management plan, audited financial statements, and the annual accountability report to the President and Congress on the Departments programs and financial operations.
Ms. Park also serves as the Director of the Department’s Franchise Fund, accountable to the Fund’s Board of Directors for the overall direction of the fund, advises the Board on fiscal implication of fund policies, and actively promotes the fund throughout the government and public sectors.
Prior to joining the VA Ms. Park served as an Executive Senior Advisor for the U.S. Treasury advising the Financial Innovation and Transformation (FIT) Office from 2010 to 2013.
Ms. Park also served as the Director in the Office of Financial Management for the U.S. Department of Transportation from 2001 to 2010.
Ms. Park studied Business Management and Accounting at Franklin Pierce University earning her Bachelor of Science in 1988.
